Shoe Care Tips

Perla Formentini shoes are made with care from the Italian Marche region. To look after your shoes after your purchase, we recommend the following methods:

Leather

• Spray with stain repellant before use.
• If soiled, use a clean, damp cloth to wipe and apply neutral or colored polish on leather.
• Buff lightly with a soft cloth when dry.

Suede

• Spray with stain repellant before use.
• Use a soft bristled suede brush to remove dirt.
• For wet, oily or ink stains, please bring to a professional to clean.
• Shoe trees are recommended for storage.

Patent leather

• Patent leather should be kept away from plastic and other patent leathers.
• It should be cleaned with only patent leather cleaner.
• Do not use household cleaners on patent leather.

Exotic skinned materials

• Do not use stain repellant as it may discolor the material.
• Do not store skinned shoes in plastic bags as it needs to air.
• Place skinned shoes in their boxes, carefully ensuring that the scales do not rub and lift.
• Shoe trees are recommended for storage.

Microfiber

• Spray with a stain repellant before use.
• To remove wet stains, use warm water and mild soap and allow time to dry before wearing.
• Remove dirt with a soft bristle brush.
